Shiplap Style Personalized Toy Box

A gift to a child should be built to last a lifetime and that's what you're getting with this Shaker style toy chest.

33"L x 15"D x 15"H with a white painted faux shiplap base. We can do custom colors on our bases, and different fonts for the fronts, just ask!

We have 5...yes 5...children so we know just how hard kids can be on furniture and we've designed every aspect of this toy box to be built kid-tough. Tough enough for your kids to pass these down to their own when the day comes.

We combed through most of Etsy looking at the toy box options for sale and found that to save shipping and production costs, most of the boxes you'll find are made from 1/2" (or worse, 10mm) plywood or are made from incredibly weak wood-like products like MDF and Particle Board.

Our toy box is constructed from high quality THREE QUARTER INCH, 13-ply birch plywood for the main box and poplar hardwood for the trim on the front and sides (no trim on back). The tops are made from the same solid 3/4" birch plywood and stained with one of our available stain colors upon which we add at least 3 coats of durable polyurethane.

I apply three coats of one of the industry's best primers to seal out stains and provide a solid base layer on top of which I apply several coats of cabinet-grade low-VOC urethane based paint to provide superior protection and cleanup.

To make this box even more bulletproof, I attach each top with a piano style hinge and secures with many high grade rust resistant screws.

A separate hold-open, slow close safety hinge is added to protect those little fingers...but we still recommend telling your kids to be careful when closing the lid so they don't get pinched.

We will place your child's name (or name provided) on the front of the box in the desired color and can engrave a message on the inside under the top like shown, just let us know in the personalization section.

IMPORTANT: This is a natural wood product made from real wood and wood veneers. Wood products have variations in grain, patterns, and imperfections. No two pieces are alike. Plywood does occasionally have voids in the ply, I do not use any piece that has a void larger than ¼ of an inch without filling that void.

I do not offer returns or exchanges as these units cost almost $100 to ship (in some cases even more) so returning or exchanging these items is cost prohibitive for both of us. However, if you have any issues, I will work with you to get them resolved in the best way I can.

PLEASE NOTE: If you desire shipping anywhere outside the continental United States, please contact us before ordering as shipping fees will be extra.

HOLES: I do not put holes in these boxes as customers use these for many different purposes. If you’d like a hole drilled into the back of the box, please let me know.
